Cherry Health at the Canada HealthTech Innovation Symposium

We had an incredible time connecting with so many inspiring individuals and organizations dedicated to transforming Canadian healthcare.

It was fantastic to meet existing and new partners who are driving innovation and change in the Canadian healthcare ecosystem. We loved connecting with the brilliant teams from WaitWell, Ava, Alethea, Digital Health Canada, HiBoop, AltaML, and many more!

Collective Insights: Powering the Next Era of Healthcare

A major highlight was the panel discussion, "From Devices to Digital – How MedTech Devices are Powering the Next Era of Healthcare Innovation." Our CEO, Alitta Tait, was joined by a diverse group of leaders, creating a dynamic conversation about the future of digital health adoption.

Alitta reflected on how our 10,000s of users engage with new technologies and partners on the Cherry Health platform. She highlighted a key obstacle for innovators: the "go-to-market" challenge. Getting innovative solutions to the critical decision-makers—the practicing healthcare professionals—is often the biggest hurdle.

The full panel provided vital pieces of the solution to this challenge:

  • Kristen Allen (Partner, Dentons): Shared expertise on navigating the complex legal and regulatory pathways, ensuring new digital tools can be adopted safely and compliantly.

  • Howard Waldner (Board Chair, Neurocatch): Offered practical insights on successful commercialization, bridging the gap between technological development and market readiness.

  • Dr. Markian Bahniuk (Alberta Innovates): Spoke on the importance of strategic funding and provincial support to help promising innovations scale their impact across the system.

The conversation made it clear that transforming healthcare requires combining insights on user engagement (Cherry Health), commercialization strategy, regulatory guidance, and strategic investment. It was a true reflection of the collaborative effort required to move Canadian healthcare forward.

We're so grateful for all the engaging conversations and the opportunity to connect with so many of you. For those who couldn't make it, we're already looking forward to seeing you at the next conference – just keep an eye out for our signature Cherry pink booth!
